"Up until now my work has had a strong autobiographical aspect with the subject matter and images taken from my own trips and experiences. I have been drawn to mountainous, desolate landscapes, which frequently make an appearance within my work. In contrast to this natural environment I am attracted to the geometric shapes and lines found within man-made structures. My work explores the tension between these two conflicting themes, attempting to find an overall balance within the final composition. My practice has encompassed a range of media: painting; photography; printmaking and installation, as a way of exploring these themes."
