Carol Robertson

Although Robertson’s painting remain  firmly rooted within reductive abstract conventions, her current work moves towards a more informal relationship with landscape, architecture, nature and the environment, using geometry as a way to channel sensory and poetic material to create art.

Carol Robertson creates perfect, shimmering circles of calm on canvas. They are the result of a long-winded and systematic process, combined with a desire to convey a feeling.

Exhibited at Griffin Gallery in Perfectionism in July-August 2014.
