The Residency:
Thomas Platt is the third artist to take up TFAC residency. Born in UK, Thomas graduated BA from Kingston-Upon-Thames University and he is currently undertaking a MA at City & Guilds in London. He will be working in Studio 1 from May 31st. Thomas and Griffin Gallery will host an Open Studio showcasing his new work on June 30.
Thomas Platt:
"I am engaged in the expanded field of painting, having recently made a body of work employing large unstretched canvases. My practice is perhaps most effectively contextualised in relation to abstract expressionism, predominantly concerned with gesture and my behaviour in the studio."
