Residency: The Fine Art Collective

Odilia Suanzes

25 April – 27 May 2016

The Residency:

Odilia Suanzes is the second artist to take up TFAC residency. Originally from Spain, Odilia is currently a third year undergraduate at City & Guilds in London. She will be working in Studio 1 from April 25. Odilia and Griffin Gallery will host an Open Studio showcasing her new work on May 27.

Odilia Suanzes:

'My paintings are formed of very fragile, delicate soft organic layers of paint. In my practice I deal with the exploration of materials and the fluid possibilities held within their substance to set, and in some way mirror, not the look of visited landscapes and places, but the inner phenomenological experiences of these visits. I am trying to capture and express these experiences from within. I search for answers in writings about the sublime and phenomenology'.
