The Residency:
Project Based Residencies at Griffin Gallery are shorter residencies offering artists studio space, materials and specialised knowledge. Artists are encouraged to develop innovative projects focussed on the interaction, composition or application of Fine Art materials.

Jack Otway:
Jack Otway will build mechanical devices that affect the movement of his hands while painting. Utilising cameras, this project will combine conventions of abstraction and filmmaking to make an experimental documentary film.
'Although a documentary of sorts, the primary aim of this film will be to project an enlivened theatricality into painting and to record orchestrated and laboured gestures as continuous passages; like a montage of screen wipes in constant flux.'
Jack Otway exhibited at Griffin Gallery in the Griffin Art Prize 2015 shortlist exhibition, November - December 2015.
