Lunchtime Lecture: History of Water colour Painting: Turner, Girtin, et al
Nick Reese, who is a Committee Member of the Turner Society, will be speaking about the history of water colour painting with an emphasis on the work of Turner, Girtin and their contemporaries. Nick graduated from Bristol University with a first class in History and History of Art, and later qualified as a solicitor.
Nick is also a veteran of the top-end travel market and and a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society. He has has guided over a hundred and fifty trips to Asia, Europe and the Middle-East and organized many more. He is a regular contributor of photographs and text to Inside Travel Guides and published Guide to the Art Galleries of Washington DC (Bullfinch Publications, 1986) and has contributed to numerous books and magazines on art and on the Indian Sub-continent.
