Brera Academy Milan
2 – 31 July 2018
The Fine Art Collective (TFAC) is a global social network for artists, with art materials at its heart. Griffin Gallery supports TFAC with a residency opportunity enabling members to realise projects or undertake research otherwise unfeasible in their place of study or work.
Brera Academy Milan:
My work arises from a reflection on identity, considering as identity both the artist’s personal one and the collective social one. Overall, my work aims at going beyond what we impose ourselves to be. It wants to be an invitation to not self-limit ourselves and instead to know ourselves better for what we are becoming.
I paint, thinking about sculpture. During the residency I am making 'platforms' for paintings of clouds, clouds being a metaphor for all that is fragile and needs protecting
