Residency: Project Based

Ayelet Amrani Navon

3 – 31 July 2017

The Residency:

Project Based Residencies at Griffin Gallery are shorter residencies offering artists studio space, materials and specialised knowledge.  Artists are encouraged to develop innovative projects focussed on the interaction, composition or application of Fine Art materials.

Ayelet Amrani Navon is undertaking a month Project Based Residency at Griffin Gallery. During her residency Ayelet aims to further develop an original technique of mark making using a variety of pigments and surface preparations materials. Ayelet is currently applying the technique to a series of “body prints”.

Ayelet Amrani Navon:

'I make marks with parts of my body by stamping them directly onto treated surfaces. I apply body weight and movement adding and removing layers of pigment and paint. During my residency I will attempt to further develop this original technique by experimenting with a variety of pigments and preparation materials.'
