Wed 23 November 2016 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Corrie Baldauf and Beatrice Haines are the current artists in residency at Griffin Gallery. On Wednesday 23rd November, Corrie and Beatrice will host an Open Studio from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on 4th floor of The Studio Building.
Corrie Baldauf, from Detroit, Michigan, presents her residency project, recording marks based on the length and wingspan of her arms, referencing both Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and the making a snow angel.
Beatrice Haines is developing artists' materials from the human ashes of a family member. Haines presents the results of her research to date, 'My artwork explores mortality and the human trace through objects or detritus that like forensic evidence, suggest subtle narratives.’
