Selma Parlour's paintings are meticulously rendered through soft films of transparent oil on linen so that imagery looks drawn or printed. Central to her invented vocabulary are: the frame, flatness, surface, bands and units of isolated colour and trompe l'oeil illusion.
Parlour has held solo exhibitions at Dio Horia, Mykonos, Greece (2015) and MOT International Projects, London (2012). Among Parlour's forthcoming exhibitions is a yearlong site-specific solo show at The House of Saint Barnabas, London (opening October 2016).
Exhibited at Griffin Gallery in Pool in April-June 2016.
