Sam Mould

Sam Mould is a landscape artist whose practice occurs through a translation of physical time-based actions. A cartography of location, place and time emerges through different mediums as a way of being in and moving through and connecting with site, memory and landscape. Durational work that exposes our dislocation from the earth and natures inexorable rawness endure as long distance journeys by bicycle across the length of Europe or a daily cold-water swim outdoors for a year where materials are collected and imbued in the work.

Recently exhibiting in group shows throughout the UK including The Jerwood Drawing Prize (2012) and A.P.T. Gallery (2014), writing for PaintUnion and a residency with the Bothy Project (2014).

Exhibited at Griffin Gallery in Pool in April-June 2016.
